Solicitors' Accounts Rules Update

This is an update course on the Solicitors Accounts Rules. It will be of general interest to practitioners who require up to date knowledge on their requirements and fiduciary duties under the Solicitors Accounts Rules 2011. The course has an approximately 30 minutes video and comprehensive course notes attached.

Course Aims

  1. The course relates to the Solicitors Accounts Rules 2011 and has as its central aim to facilitate and understanding of the new Rules.
  2. The Course looks at the new Rules, OFRs, the role of the COFA and the change to regulations regarding technology.
  3. The course assesses current regulations and highlights areas which have been updated.

Course Outcomes

  1. The practitioner will understand the new obligation brought about by the Solicitors Accounts Rules 2011.
  2. Understand the role of the COFA in the context of the new rules
  3. Be able to identify where technology may impact upon their duties.
  4. Assess the requirements of the Outcome Focus Regulation (OFR)
  5. By the end of the course the practitioner will have a general understand of their new requirements and obligations under the Rules
