It is important that appellants and Councils are aware of current Government legislation and case law before embarking upon the redress process. How should an appellant prepare an enforcement appeal? What does a planning inspector require in decided whether or not an enforcement notice should stand or whether the enforcement appeal should be successful?   1. The course will look generally at the area of planning enforcement in Wales and look at specific issues to assist the practitioner in carrying out day to day roles.
  2. Update knowledge in the following specific areas:

    • Grounds of appeal
    • Breach of condition
    • Listed building enforcement

    • Nullity and invalidity
    • When is a dwelling not a dwelling?
  3. To enable the practitioner to gain or refresh their knowledge in the area of planning law as seen from the Inspectorate's point of view
