Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration (COFA)

This is an update course on the new role of the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA). It will be of general interest to practitioners who require up to date knowledge on these requirements . The course has an approximately 15 minutes of video and comprehensive course notes attached.

Course Aims

  1. The course relates to the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration and has as its central aim to facilitate and understanding of the new Rules.
  2. The Course looks at the role of the COFA and assesses the implications of current regulations in relation to that role.

Course Outcomes

  1. The practitioner will understand the new obligation brought about by the new Regulations
  2. Understand the role of the COFA in the context of the new rules
  3. Be able to identify where technology may impact upon their duties.
  4. Assess the requirements of the role, reporting requirements, obligations, training for both COFA and other staff within the firm and day to day requirements that the COFA will perform.
  5. By the end of the course the practitioner will have a general understand of their new requirements and obligations under the Rules
